Founded in 1948 by Norvell Trumbo, Trumbo Electric is the oldest electrical contractor in western Virginia. Norvell’s vision was to fully integrate electrical engineering and construction into one business. He believed that this approach would provide the customer with an electrical system of superior value. Paramount to his vision was that the company establish the highest quality standards possible. These strategies continue to be keys to our success. Trumbo Electric was the first contractor to employ engineers (1960’s) and practice design/build construction. We are still the only contractor in western Virginia licensed to practice electrical engineering and are leaders in the design/build industry.
